The exchange focused in particular on questions of urban water management with regard to climate adaptation and cooperation between science and practice. The scientists Dr. Lautenschläger and Dr. Geyler presented results from the BMBF projects Leipziger Blaugrün, TransMiT/TransKOM, SUSIC and the transfer project HKS-ReWass and went into more detail about the international study course “Joint Master's Programme of Sustainable Development”. The two-hour exchange revealed the great potential and interest in learning from each other's experiences.

On December 12, 2024, Dr. Sabine Lautenschläger and Dr. Stefan Geyler received a delegation of water management experts from Morocco, including executives from national ministries, municipal urban planning authorities and city administrations in Marrakesh and Tangier (mayors) as well as local water suppliers.
