Study Office

The Study Office is responsible for ensuring the degree courses and teaching go ahead in the degree programmes of the Faculty. It is the point of contact for students as well as lecturers and is divided up into the areas of management, curricular management, mentoring and others.

We draw your attention to the fact that:

  1. Queries cannot be processed without specifying the degree programme, the matriculation number and the full name,
  2. the Study Office does not provide information on students' private email addresses, and
  3. students should therefore always use their Studserv email accounts for queries.

Areas of responsibility

The Curricular Manager of the Faculty of Economics and Management Science manages the further development and quality assurance of the degree programmes at the Faculty in close cooperation with the institutes. This includes, among other things, accompanying the amendment and new establishment processes of study programmes, amending and rewriting study documents, supporting the subjects of the faculty in the teaching report process and in the process of internal certification, as well as coordinating cooperation with other faculties.

Areas of responsibility

The Evaluation and International Affairs Specialist designs and conducts student surveys at the Faculty of Management Sciences and Economics in cooperation with the Dean of Studies and evaluates them. He prepares the evaluation results for the faculty's teaching report and prepares evaluation reports within the framework of the quality assurance concept. He steers the strategic further development of the faculty's internal strategy for digital teaching in accordance with the objectives of the university and the faculty. He supports the selection committees of the faculty in the implementation of the selection procedures of the Master's programmes and coordinates the application and onboarding processes of international students with the institutes and within the Study Office. He advises international students and also provides prospective and current students with a general counseling service across all stages of the student life cycle. This offer ranges from topics of study orientation and application for a study place, advice on questions/problems during studies and on studying abroad to career orientation.

The study coordinators are responsible for course planning, module enrolment and room administration for the faculty. They are responsible for writing the course catalogue and maintaining the course data. They are the contact persons for lecturers and students for all organisational questions concerning the planning of studies and teaching.

Areas of responsibility

The examination managers control and process the various forms of registration and deregistration of examinations and maintain recognised examination achievements in the credit accounts. They register final theses, prepare final certificates as well as other certificates and documents. They are responsible for the administration and maintenance of the examination data in the campus management system as well as for the creation of the examination schedules including the preparation and follow-up of the settings in AlmaWeb. They implement the decisions of the examination board.
