The student/research assistant will closely work together with Jun.-Prof. Martin Hänsel and his team in the 3-year research project ASMASYS II inside the wider research mission of CDRmare. The aim is to develop a transdisciplinary assessment framework for marine Carbon Dioxide Removal (mCDR) options, including an economic assessment led by Leipzig University. The project will contribute to assessing the economic costs and benefits of mCDR considering the interactions between the role of the ocean in the climate system and marine ecosystem services. The team will conduct a meta-analysis of economic valuation studies of marine ecosystem services, which will be integrated into an economic assessment model.
